About our role:
Our client is a leading Belgian bank looking for an experienced French-speaking Storyteller SEO/GEO to join its Storytelling Chapter within the Marketing & Communication department.
Search behaviour is changing as customers increasingly discover information through both traditional search engines and AI-powered experiences. For financial organisations, this creates a need for authoritative, useful and well-structured content that can be understood by customers, search platforms and Generative AI systems while continuing to meet strict editorial and regulatory standards.
In this role, you will combine editorial storytelling, Search Engine Optimisation, Generative Engine Optimisation and AI-assisted content creation. You will transform strategic and technical subjects into accessible French-language content that strengthens brand authority, customer engagement and digital visibility.
What you will be doing:
- Your main responsibility will be to transform strategic business briefings into compelling, customer-centred French content aligned with the segment’s editorial pillars and commercial objectives.
- Create content across articles, web pages, email campaigns, social media, UX copy, white papers, case studies, video scripts, speeches and other digital marketing formats while maintaining a consistent tone of voice.
- Optimise content for traditional and AI-powered search experiences by applying SEO and GEO best practices to keywords, structure, metadata, semantic relevance, authority and discoverability.
- Use AI tools and platforms such as Surfer SEO to support research, ideation, writing, editing, translation and multi-channel adaptation while maintaining strong editorial judgement and quality control.
- Monitor traffic, engagement, click-through rates, share of voice and conversions, translating performance insights into practical recommendations for continuous content optimisation.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Digital and Creative specialists, adapt Dutch-language content into high-quality French, and ensure all communication meets applicable banking, marketing, transparency and anti-greenwashing requirements.
What you bring:
- Relevant experience in editorial content creation, storytelling, journalism, copywriting or content marketing, supported by a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional experience.
- Outstanding French writing and storytelling skills, with proven experience producing thought-leadership content and making complex or technical topics clear, engaging and useful to broader audiences.
- Strong SEO knowledge and hands-on experience optimising content for organic visibility. Knowledge of GEO, Surfer SEO, AI-powered search and Generative AI content tools is a strong advantage.
- The ability to use performance metrics to assess content effectiveness, challenge briefs and recommend improvements. An understanding of customer journeys and digital marketing funnels would be valuable.
- Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary environments, with a collaborative, curious and analytical approach. Experience in Private Banking, banking or financial services is considered an asset.
- Excellent written French is mandatory, together with strong passive Dutch and good working English. Your application must include relevant writing samples, such as a social media post, an article and an email campaign.

- Contractor collaboration until December 2026, with possibilities for extensions.
- Minimum workload of 80%, with full-time availability preferred.
