Context
The Department of Health (Departement Zorg) is continuing the development of a new web platform.
The platform is already operational but requires further evolution to fully integrate existing websites from the former Department WVG and the Agency for Care and Health, as well as to connect various data sources and applications.
The CMS used is Drupal.
The project will progress in multiple phases, aiming to evolve into a flexible and dynamic ecosystem capable of integrating subsites and partner websites.
During autumn 2025, the focus will be on integrating awareness and visually appealing campaign websites.
Main Responsibilities

Analyze the current design of the Department’s campaign websites and translate it into a new design aligned with the house style of departementzorg.be.

Create new responsive UI designs and present them to content experts and communication managers.

Ensure that the design complies with the Flemish Government’s branding guidelines.

Verify that all designs meet web accessibility (WCAG) standards.

Collaborate on content design, shaping content-driven pages.

Support the implementation of designs in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Profile Summary

Medior UI/UX Designer with at least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing user-friendly, accessible web platforms.

Strong expertise in responsive design, design systems, and WCAG accessibility standards.

Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and InVision, with a good understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS).

Native-level Dutch speaker (C2) with experience in public or government projects.
