About our role:

Our client is at the forefront of driving efficiency and innovation in the public sector through digital transformation. They are seeking a proactive and experienced PMO to join their team. In this role, you will be pivotal in establishing and maintaining a robust Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring that projects are executed flawlessly according to established standards and guidelines. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence and drive digital excellence within our client’s operations, making a tangible impact on their service delivery and overall success in the digital era.

What you will be doing:

• Establishing and maintaining a robust Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure projects are executed according to established standards and guidelines.
• Defining and implementing processes and procedures for project management, service delivery, and IT operations.
• Monitoring and reporting on the progress of projects and service delivery, including identifying potential risks and taking corrective action when necessary.
• Coordinating collaboration between various internal and external teams, including development, operations, and external partners, to ensure that projects and services meet set requirements.
• Acting as a liaison between Business, IT, and other departments within the organisation to ensure that services are aligned with business needs.
• Continuously reviewing and improving processes and procedures to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of projects and service delivery.
• Monitoring project managers to ensure that the defined project methodology is followed.
• Applying knowledge of application development and a strong understanding of Agile working methods.

What you bring:

• Ambition to further develop your career in project and service delivery management.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the public sector.
• Proven experience in setting up and managing a PMO, including defining processes and procedures for project planning, execution, and control.
• Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Prince2, Agile, and Scrum.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
• Sound knowledge of IT operations and service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and French, ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Big Picture, and Confluence.
• A proactive and results-oriented attitude, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
