About our role:

Our client is a prominent figure in the bank and insurance industry, continually adapting to changes and innovations to offer superior financial and insurance solutions. Our client is looking for a meticulous and dedicated professional to join their team as a Data Governance Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for completing and maintaining the business glossary with harmonized definitions and correct ownership. You will also develop and execute data quality rules to enhance our data quality framework.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse data types depending on your experience, including retail client data, enterprise client data, referential data, and more, making a real impact on the data governance in the banking and insurance sectors. What you will be doing:

• Complete and maintain the business glossary with harmonized definitions and ownership.
• Develop and execute data quality rules to expand our data quality framework.
• Manage various types of data, including retail client data, enterprises client data, and others based on your experience.
• Engage in frequent communication and collaboration across teams and departments.
• Utilize your organizational capabilities and quick understanding of bank or insurer structures and concepts.

What you bring:

• Ambition to further develop your career in data governance within the banking and insurance sectors.
• Proven experience in data governance and quality, preferably with 3 to 8 years of experience.
• Past experience in the bank/insurance sector is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Fluency in English, Dutch, and French
• Ability to quickly integrate and uphold the values of Belfius.
