About our role:

Our client is a key player in the insurance industry, continuously working to enhance customer service through innovative use of data. They are looking for a proactive and insightful Data Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for writing requirements for the IT/Data teams on how data should be brought to the data warehouse, made available to users, and generate data insights for the corporate CX Programme.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the customer data management team and make a real impact on data-driven customer service solutions across the insurance business lines in Brussels. What you will be doing:

• Analyse and document current ETLs and processes as a starting point.
• Migrate current EUC SAS ETLs to Azure Databricks Notebooks as part of the Ref DWH migration from SAS On-prem to Azure Cloud Platform.
• Responsible for the business requirements in data projects, driving the IT and Data teams for the implementation of industrialized solutions.
• Report on project progress, risks, and issues to the head of customer data management and the CX Programme.
• Provide expert advice on the use of tools for data implementation and exploitation, especially on the newly built Azure Data Platform.
• Generate additional data insights and prototypes from current and new data sources.

What you bring:

• Ambition to further develop your career in data analysis and management.
• Proven experience in data analysis, especially with relational databases and data warehouse technologies.
• Past experience in the insurance industry is nice to have, but not required.
• Strong skills in SAS Base programming, SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio.
• Working experience with Microsoft Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Databricks are essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed in this job.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
