About our role:

Our client is a growing Belgian pharmaceutical company engaged in the advancement, manufacturing, and distribution of various products, including medicine, medical devices, biocides, cosmetics, high-quality food supplements, and pharmaceutical preparations. Their operations cover the Benelux region, Central and Eastern Europe, and they also cater to global markets through their export division.

Our client is looking for an e-Commerce expert to join their team as International Head of Digital. In this role, you will be responsible for the incremental expansion and maximising the online presence of the brand.

What you will be doing:

• As the responsible party, your role will involve defining, executing, and measuring the global digital and E-commerce strategy for the company's leading over-the-counter (OTC) brands in key markets:

  • Identifying the most suitable E-commerce platforms (Owned D2C, Epharma, Marketplaces) for each brand and maximizing their potential.

  • Selecting and implementing necessary digital tools such as Product Information Management (PIM) systems.

  • Enhancing content strategy and planning to optimize brand visibility and engagement.

  • Elevating campaign and promotional planning through various channels, including Epharma and Marketplaces media, social media, programmatic advertising, Google advertising, influencer marketing, native advertising, and User Generated Content (UGC).

  • Implementing SEO, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), retargeting, and loyalty-building strategies. Improving operational management aspects like customer service and fulfillment.

• Inspiring, motivating, and leveraging the Local Sales & Marketing teams to align with the global digital and E-commerce strategy.

• You will report to the International Sales & Marketing Director

What you bring:

• Ambition to further develop your career in the pharmaceutical sector.

• 5 years of solid experience in a similar role.

• Past experience in communications, digital advertising and media and E-commerce with OTC brands in the Pharma Industry is a big plus.

• You’re at your best when you can use your strategic thinking capabilities, with a hands-on, can-do mentality.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.

• Strong focus on targets and results, with a goal-oriented mindset.

• Willingness to travel occasionally as required for business purposes.

• Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English and Dutch or French.
