About our role:

Our client is a key player in the media innovation sector. Over the past decade, the media landscape has undergone a dramatic transformation, with the emergence of new formats, platforms, and media technologies. As a forward-looking organisation, our client’s Innovation Department is pioneering new technologies and solutions that help shape the future of media in Europe. Working with a range of partners, our client strives to deliver cutting-edge media experiences for all audiences.

They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and proactive UX Researcher to join their team. You will be responsible for collecting data, researching user needs, and translating insights into actionable recommendations. This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects focused on media innovation, such as fake news detection tools, interactive experiences, and digital media algorithms.

In this role, you will collaborate with project leaders, stakeholders, and experts, conducting UX research, designing user journeys, and testing prototypes. If you are passionate about exploring new technologies and enhancing user experiences, this is the perfect role for you!

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with project leaders and experts to research end-user needs and map stakeholder requirements.
  • Design and conduct user journeys, interviews, and co-creation workshops across various locations.
  • Set up and analyse online surveys using tools like Qualtrics to map user behaviour across the customer journey.
  • Present research insights clearly and convincingly to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Support the concept phase by collaborating on information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Create wireframes and clickable prototypes to validate concepts and test prototypes with end-users.
  • Translate research results into concrete recommendations to improve user experiences.
  • Stay informed on the latest technologies in the media sector and apply this knowledge to UX research and design projects.

What you bring:

  • Ambition to further develop your career in UX research and design.
  • Proven experience in UX research, user journeys, and workshop facilitation.
  • Experience in media sector projects is a plus, as is experience with data-related projects.
  • Strong ability to present research and UX insights pragmatically and apply them to design decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with UX design tools such as wireframes and prototypes.
  • Good command of Dutch, with proficiency in English and/or French being a plus.
  • Independent, proactive attitude and eagerness to work with new technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
