About our role

Our client is a leader in the energy industry in Belgium, committed to providing innovative energy solutions that drive sustainability. A key area of focus is electric mobility, which plays a vital role in helping customers reduce CO2 emissions efficiently and cost-effectively. They offer a comprehensive range of electric vehicle charging solutions for homes, businesses, and public spaces, ensuring user-friendliness and smart, affordable charging options.

As part of the Electric Mobility team, the Product Owner will drive the strategic direction, prioritisation, and development of digital products that support the electric mobility initiatives. This role ensures that business objectives are closely aligned with the digital solutions being developed, focusing on delivering exceptional value in an agile environment.

In this role, you will work closely with the Scrum Master and Scrum Team, managing priorities, backlogs, and ensuring products meet business and customer needs. This position is critical in shaping the vision and roadmap for the Electric Mobility product line, fostering collaboration between stakeholders, developers, and business analysts.

What you will be doing

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and the Transformation Manager to define and manage the Electric Mobility digital product roadmap.
  • Evaluate and prioritise high-level requirements and features, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards for evaluating project success and prioritising future initiatives.
  • Own the product backlog, ensuring User Stories are well-defined, prioritised, and aligned with stakeholder requirements.
  • Lead discovery workshops to translate complex business requirements into actionable product features.
  • Collaborate with the Scrum Master, IT architects, and external consultants to ensure successful product delivery within an agile framework.
  • Define and oversee test scenarios and acceptance criteria to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, ensuring alignment with our client best practices and non-functional requirements.
  • Provide operational support for Electric Mobility digital products, including maintenance and feature updates.

What you bring

  • Strong analytical skills with experience translating complex requirements into functional specifications.
  • An agile mindset with practical experience in agile methodologies, preferably with Product Owner certification. Scrum Master experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Electric Mobility or the Utilities industry is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English and French is required; knowledge of Dutch is a significant plus.
  • Educational background in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • A first solid experience with Odoo and 3+ years in product ownership or project management in agile environments, particularly within larger IT projects.
