Data Governance Officer

For one of our top clients – a major player in the insurance sector – we are looking for a Data Governance Officer.

Key responsibilities in the first stage:

  • You play a key role in the roll-out of the data governance framework and its subsequent operation.

  • You refine data domains and support data owners in the identification and logging of critical data and you support data stewards in the identification, logging, reporting, analysis and remediation of data quality issues.

  • You prepare, hold and follow up on Data Governance Boards quality (quarterly) and define an approach to monitor and improve data quality (e.g. defining KPIs).

  • You are responsible for onboarding new employees in data related roles.

Key responsibilities in the second stage:

  • You support the Head of Data Management with business glossaries and data catalog tools, and you define the metadata management and support data stewards with the implementation, communication, training and change management of these processes.

  • You orchestrate and finetune the learning path for data stewards and other data roles, and prepare a communication plan for this.

Does this sound like you?

  • You have at least five years of professional experience with data management and governance.

  • You have at least two years of professional experience with business / data transformations (change management and implementation).

  • You have at least two years of professional experience within financial services, preferably in the insurance industry.

  • You are fluent in English (both verbal and written) and preferably have a good knowledge of both Dutch and French.

  • You possess great communication and presentation skills and strive for high quality through ownership and proactivity.

  • You have a highly collaborative mindset and focus on business value creation.
